The outbound caller ID has not been configured for the campaign. VICIdial is attempting to place calls without a valid caller ID presentation, which many carriers will reject or deliver as 'Unknown' or 'Private'. This reduces answer rates and may cause carrier rejection in STIR/SHAKEN environments.
How to Fix It
- 1 Navigate to Admin > Campaigns > [Campaign]
- 2 Find the Outbound Caller ID (outbound_cid) field
- 3 Enter a valid 10-digit DID registered with your carrier
- 4 Verify the number is active with your carrier
- 5 Check filter_clean_cid_number is enabled to strip formatting
- 6 Test with a manual dial to verify CID is presented correctly
- 7 Verify STIR/SHAKEN attestation level for the number with your carrier
How to Prevent It
Include CID verification in campaign setup checklist. Audit all campaigns monthly for missing or invalid caller IDs. Implement automated CID validation as part of campaign creation workflow.
