The campaign's dial level has been reduced to zero — either manually by an administrator, automatically by the adaptive dial level system in response to high abandon rates, or due to a configuration error. When dial level is 0, no outbound calls will be placed regardless of agent availability.
How to Fix It
- 1 Log into VICIdial admin panel
- 2 Navigate to Admin > Campaigns and select the affected campaign
- 3 Check current Auto Dial Level value — if 0, this is the issue
- 4 Check the abandon rate — if near or over 3%, the adaptive system may have zeroed the level
- 5 Set dial level back to appropriate value (start conservative: 1.0)
- 6 If abandon rate was the cause, investigate and fix root cause before re-enabling
- 7 Monitor abandon rate closely after restoring dial level
How to Prevent It
Implement monitoring alerts when dial level drops below 0.5. Review adaptive dialing configuration to ensure abandon rate targets are realistic. Run regular campaign audits to verify dial levels are appropriate.
